About Us
Softer Ingenuity, LLC is an information technology company that draws on the skills of a varied team of experienced specialists to tailor solutions for our clients. We help businesses, government agencies, and educational organizations use Internet technologies and databases to meet their unique enterprise needs in an efficient and cost-effective manner. We design and implement solutions to: consolidate and centralize enterprise data; provide secure access to Internet services through custom applications; update, migrate or maintain legacy applications; implement content-managed websites; and create fresh, new designs for our clients' Internet presence. Our remote website and database administration services help our clients to reduce their infrastructure support costs.
Softer Ingenuity was founded in 2009 by Laura Conway, a successful information technologist with more than 25 years of experience designing and implementing advanced solutions for private and public sector customers.
Before founding Softer Ingenuity, Ms. Conway served as Director of Application Development & Web Services for Garnet River in Albany, NY, where she led a team of computer scientists and web developers on dozens of successful projects for State agencies, commercial enterprises and not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Conway has also served as a Systems Integration Engineer for Oracle Corporation, Senior Systems Programmer and Oracle DBA for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Project Manager for a developer of large-scale document imaging systems, and Manager of Application Development for a developer of automated fingerprint identification systems.
Ms. Conway holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany, and a Masters of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
